On the 4th of December, it’s time for the so-called ‘Tussentijdse ALV’. At this event, there will be the opportunity for members to vote for our Chief Fresher Emma Sow as an official member of board Aeonian. Moreover, the board will present the changes they want to make to the internal regulations of Albion Association (all specific information about this can be found enclosed to this e-mail). During this ‘ALV’, it will also be possible to share your opinion on various aspects of the association, or share any great ideas you might have (we know you do).

Did you know that in week 13 of class, part of the Lit1A homework is to watch the film Rear Window? And did you know that watching films together is much more fun than watching on your own? This is why the Fresher’s Committee invites all of you to come and watch Rear Window with us while enjoying snacks and each other’s company! This movie night (or early-evening homework session if you will) will take place on November 29th, at 18:00 at a yet to be on Facebook announced location. We’ll be happy to see you there! (Note: this activity is also open for people who want to rewatch Rear Window!)

As you may know, some Albion members are part of the theatre group called Leiden English Theatre (LET, for short). In the evening of the 18th of November, you can join Albion on a night out to their performance of 1984 at the Imperium Theatre! As an Albion member, signing up via firstname.lastname@example.org gets you a reduced ticket price of €11,-. Want to watch Big Brother watching others? Or just want to support your fellow Albion members? LET’s go!
On the 10th of October, we are gathering at 19:00 in Lipsius 0.05 to have another Movie Night! Through our Facebook poll you decided upon the BBC comedy ‘Peter Pan Goes Wrong’: a screening of a theatre performance in which everything, obviously, goes wrong. So come hang out at our improvised cinema, it is free and there will be snacks!
It’s almost time to celebrate the Relief of Leiden or, as others like to call it, the biggest citywide party of the year. Or, as other others like to call it, why-is-Barry-Badpak-literally-everywhere? On October 2nd (yes, that’s the day before the third, but we asked the locals and they said that that’s the real deal. Also, there’s no class the next day! You can sleep as long as you want!), Albion is going to explore the festivities in the city. We gather at 19:00 in front of the Lipsius building. If you want to have dinner with the committee beforehand, make sure to let us know and join <3
Shakespeare lovers, listen up! On September 27th, Albion will go to the Royal Shakespeare Company screening of the tragedy of King Lear in Pathé Den Haag. It’s a modern day tragedy retelling, with none other than Sir Ian McKellen portraying the role of the king who’s slowly descending into madness. We gather at 19:30 at Den Haag Centraal, but if you want to travel with us from Leiden, make sure to let us know. If you want to join us, for the ticket price of €12,50, send an e-mail to email@example.com before September 23rd!
Dear first year students,
