Have you always wanted to join a bookclub? If your answer is yes, you’re in luck! Albion’s Book Club (ABC) hosts a meeting every two months (ish), discussing the themes, characters, and various aspects about a book!
The board consists of Jonny and Soof! Here is a little about us:
Jonny: “My favourite authors are Donna Tartt and VE Schwab. My favourite books are the Secret History, Northanger Abbey and the Villains series by VE Schwab. I love books with as many characters as possible, especially with separate but intertwining narratives. My favourite genres are magical realism, literary fiction and modern sci-fi.
Soof: “My favourite authors are V.E. Schwab, Suzanne Collins, and R.F. Kuang. Some of my favourite books are Through the Arc of the Rainforest, The Cruel Prince (the whole series, if I’m being honest), Daisy Jones and The Six, and Bunny! I love reading books that feel slightly off (the best horror books aren’t the jumpscary ones, but the ones where everything feels just a little bit wrong), books about women going insane, and just odd stuff in general. My favourite genres are literary/women’s fiction, dark academia, fantasy, and romance!”
At the end of every meeting, the members present get to help pick the next book! We are also planning to be more active on our Instagram (@albionbookclub_abc), hosting readathons, and much more!
